The Frosty Fern Club Moss is properly classified as a Lycopod, a descendent of spore-producing plants that date back unchanged into the Permian (320 million years ago) age. Tree-like relatives of this plant group produced the greaat coal forests of the Carboniferous. Other common names for the Frosty Fern Club Moss include; Arborvitae Fern, and Spike Moss. Excellent house plant, terrarium plant or fairy garden plant. Keep evenly moist, not wet or dry. Provide bright, indirect light. Trim as needed.

The rare Black Bat Plant produces a sinister looking nearly black flower that looks like a black bat in flight. The center of the flower develops a small bat face. These plants are native to India, Malaysia and some of the islands in the Indo-Pacific region.

Spathiphyllum the genus name means, literally, "leaf spathe", with spathe defined as "A large bract or pair of bracts sheathing a flower cluster, as a spadix." You're likely to know it as "Peace Lily". Its' widespread interior use is due to its exceptional acclimation to low light conditions. There are approximately 30 different species of Spathiphyllum, some are native to Central and South America. Interestingly, two species are found on the other side of the world, in Malaysia, and one is native to both Costa Rica AND the Philippines. A fascinating plant that has somehow managed to circle the world long before man discovered its beauty. Wherever it is found, it thrives in the deep shade of the humid tropical rainforest understory.

Aglaonema is a genus of flowering plants in the Arum family and are native to Asia. Aglaonema 'Wishes' (also known as Chinese Evergreen) is a cultivar and grown as a houseplant due to it's intolerance of cold temperatures. Keep in temperatures above 59 degrees and normal household humidity levels. Aglaonema 'Wishes' will grow in an upright form and can reach a height of 3'. Aglaonema 'Wishes' can tolerate low light conditions. Keep soil moist. Aglaonema 'Wishes' is not recommended for terrariums due to it's large size. It will however make a great houseplant because it does well in low light, average household temperatures and humidity levels. Plant in the back part of the vivarium in soil/substrate. Due to it's large size, it is recommended for only the largest of vivariums. It does not like soaking wet feet but should never be allowed to dry out. Air circulation is not needed to successfully grow in a naturalistic vivarium. This plant provides cover, egg laying sites and great calling perches for poison dart frogs in a naturalistic vivarium. Hardy in zone 10. As good practice, Josh's Frogs recommends washing all plants thoroughly removing as much soil as possible with dechlorinated water before placing them in their final home.
