This species is known for producing sprays of waxy textured bright orange flowers. The Flower stems are Long (up to 10") and upright with waxy orange blooms. Flowers are 1/2" in diameter, long-lasting, very bright orange and has good substance. You are browsing on a blooming size plant, with 1 healthy growth. Has been seen growing in evergreen, lowland forests in shady, humid habitats with rocky substrates along streams and rivers at elevations of 70 to 1100 meters. The natural spread can get up to 16 cm or more. This is an unbloomed seedling, two years or more from first flowering. But worth the wait, if you like to grow things up. And a mature plant in bloom at an orchid sjhow would likely cost $50 or more. This is a quality orchid that will give you very rewarding flowers.
