Oerstedella centradenia Common Name The Spur-Like Gland Oerstedella (You will receive a Typical size plant shown in Picture #2) Description: Found in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama in wet lower mountain forests from elevations of 1200 to 1500 meters. Has been growing in partial sun as a small to medium sized, warm to hot growing orchid. This plant has delicate stems that can produce plantlets all along up and down is growths. Has shiny leaves that have a wet, dry growing pattern that require high humidity, and water throughout the year. But requires less when mature and will bloom on a terminal, few to many flowered inflorescence occurring in the late winter, spring and early summer. Dendrobium macrophyllum x sib Common Name: The Pastor's Orchid (You will receive a typical size plant shown in Picture #2) *Near blooming size plants available (About 1-1.5 years away from blooming) DESCRIPTION: This is a widespread dendrobium species found as medium to large sized, hot to warm growing species from Java, Lesser Sunda Islands, Moluccas, the Philippines, Sulawesi, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Fiji, New Caledonia, Samoa, Santa Cruz, Vanuatu and the Caroline Islands. This is usually found as a epiphytic plant in hot coastal primary forest jungles to cool mountain forests on tree trunks halfway up the bole from sea-level to 1700 meters in elevation. This one is Miltoniopsis Morris Chestnut, near blooming size but not in flower now. It will put out beautiful pink flowers with a white waterfall lip. The flowers are stunningly beautiful. The breeding on this mericlone is Miltoniopsis Martin Orenstein x Mps. Goodhope Bay. These are clones of the plant that produced the flowers pictured, and they will all produce flowers like that. These orchids are in 4-inch pots and they tend to be spring and fall bloomers. They are not in flower now. We think they could spike up next spring, but hey, orchids have a mind of their own.
