Paph Tropical Magic, a lovely henryanum hybrid ladyslipper orchid

This primary hybrid was registered in 1996, and the cross is producing some spectacular flowers in pink and greenish gold, with some striping on the dorsal and some spots on the petals. They really are lovely. The breeding on this one is Paphiopedilum primulinum x Paph. henryanum. The primulinum may impart some sequential blooming characteristics, so don't be too quick to cut off a spike after the first blooming. Pictured is one of the first bloomers. You can expect there to be some variety in the flowers, as this is a seed cross, but all should be really pretty. This plant is blooming size, which we define as likely to flower within a year or so. These have a leaf span of 8 to 9 inches, and they are in 3.5 inch pots. Most have multiple growths and we always ship the largest.
